Día de los profes, maestros, maistros y anexos

Felicidades a todos aquellos que decidieron que su vida era enseñar. Aunque esto no incluye desnudistas, lo siento, nada personal.
Para bien o para mal, los profesores moldan nuestras vidas, igual o más que nuestros mismos padres. Tanto buenos profesores como malos. Hay aquellos que nunca olvidaremos. Porque eran buenos instructores, por buena onda o porque simplemente porque nos identificamos con ellos y los adoptamos como amigos.
Los profesores son un mal necesario. ¿Por qué mal?... ¿por qué no?
En lo personal aún recuerdo con gusto grandes profesores. Grandes personas. Igual recuerdo, y con gusto aunque no me crean, aquellos que odié y que sigo odiando, ya que igual nos cambiaron la vida de alguna manera.
Me gustaría mencionar nombres, desde el kínder, pasando por la primaria, la secundaria, haciendo una gran pausa en la preparatoria y rematar en la universidad. Sin dejar de mencionar a los profesores del Inglés América.
Cuantos recuerdos. En fin, una gran felicitación en su día. Y ojala que no olviden que su profesión es la más importante de todas. No hay profesión que sea más importante. Recuerden esto siempre y si se saben buenos profesores, sigan mejorando. Y aquellos que se saben malos profesores, crueles, malditos, que sólo les importa el cheque quincenal y los bonos, o que creen que el mundo no los merece; pues tienen razón, ¡no los merecemos! Así que háganle un favor al mundo y dejen de torturar estudiantes.
De cualquier manera, felicidades.

The Hillbilly Archaeologist

After having dug to a depth of 30 feet last year, New York scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago.

Not to be outdone by the New Yorkers, in the weeks that followed, California scientists dug to a depth of 60 feet, and shortly after, headlines in the LA Times newspaper read: 'California archaeologists have found traces of 200 year old copper wire and have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than the New Yorkers.'

One week later, The 'Beckley Daily Independent', a local newspaper in West Virginia reported the following: 'After digging as deep as 90 feet in dirt fields near Beckley in Fayette County, Bubba Johnson, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely NOTHING. Bubba has therefore concluded that 300 years ago, West Virginia had already GONE WIRELESS!'
